Ladies Lunch5

 

 THE LADIES LUNCH BUNCH will gather on Wednesday, November 1st at 1:00 P.M. at Spoons.    Men are invited to join in as well!

 MEN EAT, TOO!  The guys meet the second Wednesday of each month (for September, it will be September 11th) at 9:00 am at the Clifton Denny’s for breakfast.  They’d love to have you come on down and have a cup of coffee and breakfast with them.  (PS – spouses have been known to meet for breakfast, too – usually, the ladies sit at their own table…

                             Gosper Gleaners

 GOSPEL GLEANERS continue their fall Bible study on Thursdays beginning at 1:00 pm.  This weekly group meets at the Mesa County Public Library.  “Having a Mary Spirit” by Joanna Weaver is the study theme for this fall.

               FFN

 JOIN US THE 2ND FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH at 6:30 pm for Family Fun Night!  Our activities have included game night, movie night, a combination of both and a biking/hiking/picnic at a community park.  In September, Family Fun Night will be on Friday, October 13th.  Stay tuned for details on this month’s activities.

Book Club

BOOK CLUB’S “read” is "Song of the Lion” by Anne Hillerman.  The group will gather on Monday, October 16th at 1:30 at the home of Katy Trimm.  Contact Sue Drissel for more information -- 985-9310.

 

 

 

 

             Spaghetti dinner                                                                                                     

 IT’S RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!   Join us at our annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraising event -- Saturday, October 21st is the big day!  We will be serving from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm --- and need helpers and such!  Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board for “helper duties”, food, brownie and raffle prize donations.  Tickets are available for you to sell to your family and friends!  We will have flyers on the Ushers’ Table to post around town

                      Unity Sunday

 OCTOBER 29TH IS THE FIFTH SUNDAY OF THE MONTH!  Keeping with tradition, we will have a Unity Worship Service at 10:00 am with a potluck to follow.  Think on what fun dish you can bring to share!  We will also have Team Meetings after the potluck.

 

         Chili

 CHILI IS PERFECT for those chilly November days & evenings!  Bet you have a favorite recipe for your special version of this hearty meal…how about making some and joining us for our Chili Cook Off!  The date of this fun, friendly & yummy competition is Saturday, November 18th.  Watch for upcoming details 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

 

When Do We Do What:  Each Month?

 

There is a definite monthly pattern to our events and activities here at Covenant.  It would be good for folks to write these on their own personal calendars.   These patterns are very helpful for your own planning - they normally don’t change - but be careful to notice when exceptions occur.  Occasionally there are variations in the meeting times, so please remember to check the bulletins, newsletter, website (covpresgj.org).  Such changes are also announced before worship on Sundays.  Here’s the monthly pattern:

3rd Monday —Book Club Babes
